      If your Eastar Jet flight is delayed or cancelled, you may be eligible for compensation under the EU 261/2004 regulation, commonly known as EC 261. This regulation applies if your flight departs from an EU airport, or if you are flying into the EU on an EU-based airline. Even though Eastar Jet is not an EU carrier, you can claim compensation if your journey with Eastar Jet originated within the European Union.

      Under EC 261, you may be entitled to compensation if your flight is delayed by more than three hours upon arrival, or if your flight is cancelled with less than 14 days' notice and the reason is within the airline’s control. Compensation amounts are determined by the distance of your flight:

      • €250 per passenger for flights up to 1,500 kilometers.
      • €400 per passenger for flights between 1,500 and 3,500 kilometers.
      • €600 per passenger for flights over 3,500 kilometers.

      These rights also include assistance such as meals, refreshments, and accommodation, depending on the length of the delay and waiting time. If you are denied boarding due to overbooking or your flight is rerouted, similar compensation rules apply.
